Elite 100 mini vs RIVER 520 Gen4

Updated 20 September 2026

Not twins. BLUETTI’s Elite 100 mini is a compact ~1 kWh / 700 W box already on sale. EcoFlow’s RIVER 520 Gen4 is a lighter ~512 Wh / 500 W IFA 2026 camping battery — price still unknown on the press materials we checked.

Verdict (specs only) Need roughly double the watt-hours and a published USD list price today? Elite 100 mini (1004.8 Wh, 700 W, USD $429 at launch, 23.6 lb). Need the lightest carry and EcoFlow’s new Gen4 density claim? RIVER 520 Gen4 (~4.6 kg, 512 Wh, 500 W / 1000 W X-Boost) — but treat solar, cycles, warranty, and street price as unknown until a retail PDP ships. We did not test either unit.

Energy vs carry weight

Elite 100 mini stores about the watt-hours of the RIVER 520 Gen4, at roughly the weight (23.6 lb vs ~10.1 lb). If the constraint is a weekend fridge + router, Wh wins. If the constraint is a daypack, kilograms win.

Inverter class

BLUETTI lists 700 W continuous (Power Lifting to 1400 W on compatible resistive loads). EcoFlow lists 500 W continuous with X-Boost to 1000 W. Mid-size coffee makers and microwaves are outside both comfort zones on rated watts alone.

Price honesty

Elite 100 mini: USD $429 standalone on BLUETTI’s launch materials. RIVER 520 Gen4: price unknown in the IFA releases we checked — we will not invent one.
