Portable stations used to ship NMC (nickel manganese cobalt, sometimes labeled NCM). Almost every current midsize SKU in this silo is LiFePO4 (LFP). The label is not a performance score. It is a chemistry with tradeoffs the spec sheet only half explains.

Do not compare 70% to 80%
Jackery’s 4000 cycles to 70%+ is not the same endpoint as EcoFlow’s 4000 cycles to 80%+. Companies choose the decay point that makes the brochure look long. We reprint both and refuse to convert them into a Ranked “years of use” trophy.
The original DELTA as a history lesson
EcoFlow’s original DELTA user manual listed NCM cell chemistry and 500 or 800 cycles to 80%+ depending on the table. DELTA 2’s manual lists LFP and 3000 cycles to 80%+. That is why “buy last year’s model on clearance” is not always a bargain — you may be buying a different cathode. Check the chemistry line, not the word DELTA.
Safety copy
LFP is widely described as more thermally stable than NMC. That is a materials statement, not a promise that a damaged pack cannot fail. Follow the manual. We do not publish DIY cell-mod advice.
