The panel watt number on a brochure is not what lands in the battery. The station’s MPPT ceiling, the voltage window, and the sky decide. Over-voltage can damage the input. Under-voltage just disappoints you.

Time-to-full is weather, not a promise
A 1024 Wh battery, 500 W of rated input, 70% real-world harvest: 1024 / 350 ≈ 2.9 hours of equivalent full sun. A short winter day at high latitude is not that. Manufacturer “full in 2 hours” lines assume their panel, their angle, their lab. We reprint input watts, not daydreams.
Connectors
Jackery v2 wants DC8020 (8 mm) on the models in this silo. EcoFlow wants XT60 on DELTA/RIVER. BLUETTI and Anker use their own solar cables. Adapters exist; voltage still has to fit. Jackery’s FAQ says mixed wattages across the two 1000 v2 ports are not supported (no 100 W + 200 W mix).
More panels than the ceiling
Connecting 800 W of panels to a 400 W input does not give you 800 W. It gives you 400 W plus unused silicon, and it can push voltage into a danger zone if you series-string carelessly. Stay inside the VOC window printed in the manual. When the manual is the only source, we say so.
